I call, I wouldve probably bet the flop and/or raised the turn. Chances are he is sticking it in with any 4 any flush and any straight especially as you didnt raise the turn.

He is on the big blind, and so I think he is much more likely to have a house than a flush. I would fold. Your play is really bad.

    Appreciate your reply

Casting aside the lack of preflop raise which I know I should have & would normally have made, would you bet the flop here to build the pot or take the free card & bet the turn once youve hit the nut flush? I'm interested in yours & others lines here as in my opinion its a near perfect flop for my holding, and the 4 on the turn shouldnt be of much concern either,

I'm sure HJ will disagree but I would not raise that hand pre-flop at the 20/40 level in a $10 STT.
I would check the flop, re-raise the turn and call the river. The standard at this level is abysmal. Betting draws is throwing money at the serial callers and you are more often ahead on the river than behind imo.

On the flop either is ok, I would normally bet. This isnt a perfect flop, more than half the time you are going to end up on the river with ace high. The turn pairing the board means you should be at least a little bit concerned, especially against the BB who can have any two cards. Unless he is a moron, when you raise him the minimum and he pushes he does not have a straight or trips, he either has a house or a flush. And I think its far more likely he has a house.

The min raise on the river is the only unambigously bad play.

    Unless he is a moron,

The key question at this level.

considering he is in the BB and got a free flop. He could easily be ahead. Don't think he has a straight. Its a house or a king for 2 pair.
Should probably fold, but with the computer beeping for you to hurry up I think I would of called and shut my eyes.....................outcome?

I folded he showed 34 for the house, as HJ predicted
Turned out to be a good fold as I battled back & took the tourney down for $144, which is a nice little sum for a fishy like me who just plays for beer money!!

Make it 120 preflop. bet the flop. Hammer the turn and allin the river. Thats my play here. probably get no customers but in my experience on tribeca its better to over bet big hands as people never seem to believe u.. people constanty think ure bluffing. ure man that beat u would have been out of the hand here as he wouldnt have called the hand preflop and u may have taken a 500 pot or something. All the small ones add up.
