Been out for a good while now I think.
Reviews say its good, but there are a lot better out there for the price and cheaper, its mainly selling point is its design.

I believe the cool thing about the Pioneer system is that it comes with a mic that you place in the cenre of the room and it runs through a calibration routine that correctly sets up all of the speaker levels.

Anyone who spends hours every once in a while trying tpo get their sounds system sounding good knows that this type of technology could be either very good or bad.

That feature is on most receiver's at this stage, and it is good technology.

You couldnt spend hours tweaking this either, the receiver is very basic.

Cool I did not realise that feature was on most recievers now, I bought my Sony amp over 5 years ago, and have not needed to upgrade yet. Surprisingly its a very solids amp, with plenty of digital and analogue inputs and outputs, plus menus and menus of settings to change.

All my equipment in my room is Pioneer so I may stretch to it! Just to keep things matching! 400 is a bit steep though....
