MMA Fitness Testing

Just wondering what ideas people have about doing rough fitness testing for the mma athlete. I'm not going to be able to train as much as I want to over the next few months and I'd be interested to see if the fitness and strength lost is going to be verifiable.

I was thinking something along the lines of:

    1. Long Jump (see how far you can travel horizontally doing standing jump)
    2. "High" jump (same as above but vertically)
    3. Time for 8 laps of a rugby pitch (would how many laps you can do in 12 minutes be a better method?)
    4. Average Time for 4 * 25 sprints
    5. Number of good fianna's done in x minutes
    6. Bench press - how many can you do at weight x til exhaustion (or should it be how many you can do in x minutes)
    7. Squat - same as above.

Anyone else any ideas? Think the whole thing is worth doing? Pointless?

As a personal trainer and mma trainee i would say you have some good ideas but would say the test would be quiet pointless! if you wanted to do a test-get a heart rate monitor and build your heart rate up to a certain number-lets say 170 then time how long it takes to drop back to 100. the fitter you are the quicker it would drop-hope this helps.
