Wasn't really welll beaten in the arc. He had his excuses. They're expecting the ground to dry up at Newmarket so the ground will no longer suite the Hurricane. Pride could be the best bet if that's the case.

I really think Pride is has an outstanding chance tomorrow, he'll go on any ground and has probably been as good a horse as there's been in Europe this year.

trip too short for hurricane run, these days he takes forever to get going,
sir percy has to be badly in need of a run, so as much as i hate to say it pride looks the best option.

its a no bet race for me though

I don't think that needing the run will be an issue for Sir Percy. He won fto as a 2yo, there was a two and a half month gap between his 3rd race and winning the Dewhurst on this card last year and then this year fto, he was a very good 2nd to George Washington. He'll be fit to do himself justice tomorrow, assuming that he's fully over the injury that kept him out of the Arc.

He'll also enjoy any cut in the ground in preference to the g/f he ran on in the Guineas and Derby. I expect him to finish in the first two.

Pride will also relish any cut and if Lemaire keeps her out of trouble as he should over this straight 10f, she has what it takes to win it. The weight-for-age allowance here means she only has to give 2lbs to the 3yo colts rather than the 5lbs she was giving Rail Link two weeks ago. The main worry is whether she can perform to her best so soon after a tough race like the Arc but she did take 2nd in this race last year with the same gap in between.

I have a slight preference for Pride over Sir Percy but I'll probably dutch the two of them. 3/1 each = Evens the pair.

I got it very wrong with Sir Percy who was very disappointing but as expected, without him running to his best, it was easy for Pride.
