(Been googling this to no avail)....

I went to blanchardstown shopping center today and bought a game in HMV for 50 euro.
I'm a wheelchair user and dont live anywhere near blanch, only get a lift there the odd thursday.
I have the reciept and bag etc to show it was bought today.

The case of the game when you bring it to the till is empty, the assistant goes off and puts the game in the case before handing it to you. (security obviously).

The sales assistant put the right game in the box but the game comes with a memory pack (for a nintendo ds), also in the box. He put in the right game but the wrong memory pack, not usable with the game.
(Also, you cannot use the browser / game without the memory pack).

Can I bring this back to HMV in liffey valley or does it *have* to be blanchardstown where it was bought? I dont want a refund, just the right memory pack.
If not I have to wait a week or more to get back to blanchardstown

Well what I would do is ring up HMV in liffey valley tell them your situation that you only get out to Blanch the odd Thursday etc and would it be possible for them to change it for you.

I've always found HMV to be very helpful in things like this, and I have had occasion where I bought an item in the Dublin city centre (where I rarely visit) and had to have it exchanged, so they changed it for me in the Blanchardstown store. If you ring and explain the situation, I reckon they'll sort you out ok.

Well, that'll teach me to read boards before I leave the house!
FnF hauled his exhausted carcas up to LV to find, nope, no HMV,... not only that, but in I went to friggin golden discs and proceeded to tell the guy about the problem suddenly realising he had a very confused look on his face I stop waffling,....."erm, we are Golden discs".... LOL... if I dont laugh Ill cry!
I knew I should have slept last night, Ive been awake 48 hours already :rolleyes:

Just a quick update on this.
HMV Blanch, actually sent somone out to my house (in clondalkin) with the replacment cartridge.

Very good customer service imo, and I will be shopping there in future.

Assuming you can put off any game/dvd purchases to the odd thursday.:D
