culchies v townies

Seeing as there appears to be several townies about to venture beyond the pale for this team event in Kerry on Sat, I was wonder has anyone thought about last longers or townies v culchies prop bets. Not sure how we would work the townie definition , but we could propose that anyone who thinks like an american, ie refuses to believe there is life outside their immediate habitat, be a townie. As for the culchies , which i am one of , anyone familiar with round bales and their various incarnations or uses, would fit into the latter category!!!!

If this subject has already been broached, I am prepared for the admonishment!

Good idea, would be easier to transport them than silage though what the townies would do with the wrap left over I dont know, guess they could always recycle

man for man I'll take the townies! But if it's us versus the entire county of Kerry we'd need odds!

Amarillo Slim used to do something similar in the world series, giving odds on whether it would be a 'Jew or a Texan' to win it.

If anybody's willing to give decent odds on it I'll back the boggers please, fairly certain a team from Kerry or Waterford will take it down. :)

I know there's three teams from Waterford going, now the Dubs will consider us rural but in fact we are rather cosmopolitan down this way

I know this one farm (may happen in other places, but I've only seen it here) where instead of an X or similiar on the bales, they write 'Feck off Crows' on each one.

I thought it was funny anyways. I don't really care who wins, but since I am from the back of beyond myself, i'd put all the 18-6-12 on the culchies.

We have both townies and culchies down here, but unfortunately(or fortunately), we also have some that dont fit into either catagory

Surely has to be the best name of any village in Ireland,I mean there are seven vowels in there! A bloke I know is married to a girl from there and she is as fking daft as two brushes, does this now mean its not safe to pass Abbeyfeale later on?
