Hi I'm going to be working in Cherrywood pretty soon and am based in Blanchardstown @ the moment, I was wondering if anyone knows of a quick route I could take as the thoughts of spending more than an hour each way in traffic are not so appealing... Any help appreciated...

M 50 is your most direct route.

Alternativly you can try Clonsilla, past the Garda Club at Westmanstown, into Lucan on the back road then either across Esker or Ballyowen onto the Fonthill Road, Clondalkin, Belgard Road, up past Scholars then across the M 50 from here, but even this way is fraught.

m50 is you best route.as i live in cherrywood and used to go to blanchardswtown everyday during the summer and m50 route was the best.city centre takes too long.

The quickest route you could take, would be to your local estate or letting agent (depending on your set up). Quite frankly, why you expect to travel across the city to work and not sit in traffic is beyond me. As a driver, it can't be done. Your proposed commute is a disaster no matter what advice you are offered here. Your public transport options are also disasterous. If T21 is implemented, your commute would still be difficult.

    MOVE!

dantes, where did you get a job in cherrywood.is it dell?
and when you finish work its just a carpark as theres too many cars.the queue can be from sandyford to blanchardstown.i have seen it that long:eek: , so it could take easily 2 hours to get home.

Thanks everyone who posted, you've been very helpful, looks like moving is really my only option, this is ok I suppose since I'm renting... although I really like where I am... sigh

dr.dre: yeah Dell is the company...

Ham'nd'egger: might give that route a try too, not too optimistic though. :(
