    Hi Guys,

Is there a way I can backup CD's using Windows based software and then burn them using a Mac?

The CD's all have Mac software on them so would I be able to copy them with windows based software?

Ideally Id like to take whats on the CD's and put them on a DVD to save some space - any idea's?

you can burn a disc with mac software on it just using the standard os x finder. once you insert a disc, just initialise the disc and then drag things onto it. i haven't used this method in a long time but this is what you can do. you can also creat burn folder which are quite useful. Just right click and choose 'new burn folder'. i use toast so never have the need for this method. there are also free programs as below

by the way, you get what you pay for

    Disc Burner

CD Roast will make copies on os x but you will need to install X11

i think this is only available for powerpc at present.
