    1. Do both of your parents work?
    Yes.

    2. Have your family felt the rapid growth of Irelands economics? In which ways?
Younger siblings cannot afford to purchase house/apartment in home town.
Younger siblings at the same time drive very nice cars.

    3. How have your family been affected by the rapid growth? Drive nice cars & live away from home town.
Do the old members of the family live alone? All dead.
    Do students live alone? N/A.
How do they get by financially? N/A

    4. How often do you go to church? Christmas, baptisms, weddings & funerals.
How important a role does the church play in your live? Not a lot.

    5. What do you think of East European workers?
    In what respect?

    1. Do both of your parents work?

No. but they have reached retirement.

    2. Have your family felt the rapid growth of Irelands economics? In which ways?

    Yes.
    1. Cannot buy a house (cost way too high).
    2. Have reasonable disposable income, can afford 'luxury' items like sat tv, broadband, etc.

    3. How have your family been affected by the rapid growth? Do the old members of the family live alone? Do students live alone? How do they get by financially?

Employment availabe to everyone, thus unemployment is seen as choice rather than need in my family. EG "when are you gping to get up off your ass and get a job. "

    4. How often do you go to church? How important a role does the church play in your live?

    No. none.

    5. What do you think of East European workers?

I work in a place where there is a sizable contingent of polish etc. My opinion would be they work hard, and fill the jobs the Irish dont want, eg manual unskilled labour (hard work!). Hence we need them to fuel our economy.

    1. Do both of your parents work?

Yes, my mam's a clerical officer, and my dad works for Eircom (and a part-time farmer)

    2. Have your family felt the rapid growth of Irelands economics? In which ways?

I guess so - things we have now, like digital tv and broadband, we wouldn't have had 5 years ago. But we've only one car - can't afford another one.

    3. How have your family been affected by the rapid growth?
Affected in that digital tv has become a norm, not a discretionary item....but there's no money in farming (from my perspective) and that's where all my parents income is going, and there's nothing in return..

Do the old members of the family live alone?
Only one grandmother left, she's in a nursing home.

    Do students live alone?
Myself and my sister are both in college, living away from home.

How do they get by financially?
My mother pays for our rent, food, books, etc out of her wages..

    4. How often do you go to church?
Hardly ever - mainly just Christmas Mass

How important a role does the church play in your live?
I don't go to Church, it doesn't play a massive part I guess, but I still say my prayers every night!

    5. What do you think of East European workers?
I definitely think they are helping to drive the economy - people keep saying how they are "stealing" our jobs, but most Irish people are too "proud" to work in fast food places, manual labour, etc.. So, as Xterminator said, they're only filling the jobs we don't want!

    1. Do both of your parents work? They are both in Australia, my mother works as a carer and my father is on a pension as a Vietnam Veteran.

    2. Have your family felt the rapid growth of Irelands economics? In which ways? Not really, they don't live here.

    3. How have your family been affected by the rapid growth? Do the old members of the family live alone? Do students live alone? How do they get by financially?I just manage to get by and I do not live alone. My family lives in Australia.

    4. How often do you go to church? How important a role does the church play in your live? Never and I never will.

    5. What do you think of East European workers?
I hear alot of people complaining about them but it seems they work hard and do jobs that alot of people here won't do. Also not forgeting that a little while ago Irish people were known for going to other countries to work.

Sorry my answers are not so helpful I guess as my family is not in Ireland.
