i get really lost with sizes, is that CM ?
how big is a normal 35 mm print?

    ALSO they do posters
    (* 2/3 ratio files will be printed in 17½ x 11¾" , 23½ x 15½" or 29¼ x 19½")

    2/3 ratio files?

No thats inches - slightly bigger than A4(actually slightly longer and narrower I think)

Although IIRC you actually order them as 30x20 cm.

Their user interface isn't the best

2/3 is usually the ratio of digital SLRs

    eg mine gives a 3008 x 2000 pixel jpeg

25c per A4 page is quite cheap would be nice, now to find a cheap framing place.
    thanks !

i only use film so scanning image had high resolution for posters i guess
but as for just normal enlargements up to A4, a 35 mm normal scan will do ?

I've got 35mm scans printed by them in that size, they were fine.

It will have to be saved/sent as a JPEG

this might have been a one off but i would have thought they might have at least replied to my email:

ok this is an update on my test submissions to photobox and foto.com
the prices were as follows for 5 prints (incl postage)
    photobox one 9 x 6, one 10x8 and four 10 x 7 - €18.58
    foto.com five 8 x 10.5 - €5.79
the photobox packet arrived a day earlier than foto.com
the quality was excellent in both
i used the supplied colour profile from foto.com which seemed to match what i had on the screen.
the photobox prints were a bit hit and miss tho! because i used the adobe colour profile which tended to make them a little darker than what they were using my monitors profile, but still pretty acceptable
what left the whole thing down as far as foto.com is concerned was the abysmal condition that the photos arrived in.
It looks like they resided on their trip to ireland in about three inches of water which caused damage to three of the prints causing them to be useless.
What annoyed me was the other occasions i got prints from them they were in sealed plastic containers which i'm sure could have been submersed in water without any ill effects. So a huge black mark against foto.com, or maybe An Post, i'm not sure who's to blame, needless to say i'm sending them a nice e-mail about the whole thing. :)

I had decided to enter the walled towns competition, so lucky thing i had a second set of prints as the closing date is tomorrow.
In future if i use foto.com again it will only be if they can gurantee that the prints are delivered in sealed plastic containers.

oh BTW i couldn't adjust my monitor using windows control panel (Adobe gamma) as some of the settings on the monitor's menu system are greyed out and cant be accessed!

I once got somebody elses' prints with mine and as the order number was with them I decided to send a friendly email suggesting that they might want to print and send another set to that person....never got a reply either.
