I wonder would it be possible to prompt an Asterisk PABX to call a number and connect the called number with another with an email.

When travelling, I'd like to send email from my Irish phone to call my foreign phone and connect with whoever I want to talk to. I know I'd be paying for two phone calls but it would be cheaper than the roaming charge on my Irish account or the cost of an international call from my foreign prepay account?

There are some callback sevices already using text message prompt but are too expensive

thats easy for asterisk, even easier would be to get it to recognise your callerid then call you back with a dial tone (you get get it to ask you for a password first). or if you have web access you can setup a simple web page (or wap page) to do what you want.
