Did anyone happen to tape the WAR STORIES series which was on RTE 1 on Friday nights recently, especially programme six - The Irish Schindler. Did anyone happen to tape the WAR STORIES series which was on RTE 1 on Friday nights recently, especially programme six - The Irish Schindler. If so I would really love to borrow it or make a professional copy of it for educational purposes.
I've just been in touch with RTE and as always they produce some very good educational programmmes and then lock them away rather than make them available to buy or on podcasts. With all the hype about tv licences, when will RTE see the business opportunity that is staring them in the face and follow the example of some of the English channels. Surely it would be to everyone's advantage, having gone to the expense of producing a programme, that these programmes should become quickly, if not immediately, available to buy. Schools, colleges etc as well as private individuals would love to add these programmes to their resource collections.
