Hi all, hope a few people here can advise me on this.

Looking to get a new PC cause my current one is very old and very crap, want to play games on it but really only Strategy games and Football Manager - have a 360 to do everything else.

    Which PC would be better?

Option 1 - Intel Core Duo config:
    TwinMOS DDR2 PC5300 2048MB Dual Pack KIT
NEC DVD±recorder AD-5170 IDE Black OEM
    OCZ Technology Powersupply ATX 450W
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz Socket
    Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2b
    Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA2
Norman IC, 1 year license Virus Control
    PC box
    SoftThinks Installation/Recovery
    Gigabyte Triton GZ-XX1CA-SNB Black
    MSI P965 NEO-F, P965, Socket-775, ATX,
    Gainward GeForce 7900GS 256MB,1,2ns DDR3

    Option 2
    TwinMOS DDR2 PC5300 2048MB Dual Pack KIT
NEC DVD-recorder ND-3570 IDE Black OEM
    OCZ Technology Powersupply ATX 450W
    Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2b
    Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA2
Norman IC, 1 year license Virus Control
    PC box
    SoftThinks Installation/Recovery
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2.2GHz Socket AM2
    Gigabyte Triton GZ-XX1CA-SNB Black
    Gigabyte GA-M61PM-S2, nForce430+GeForce
    Gainward GeForce 7900GS 256MB,1,2ns DDR3

Both are fairly similar in price so that is not really a consideration in this instance.

grand - now just to clear enough funds on teh credit card!

It was only after i posted that i realised both configs are the exact same apart from the processors.....and Intel was always gonna be better then!
