Here's something I always wanted to know

What the difference between division and district?
I know division is over CTU LA.

District is sometimes mentioned in the series- where does this fit in?

Also, what area does Division cover? California, West Coast, etc

District or District Command, is a branch of the Counter Terrorist Unit that reports directly to CTU Headquarters in Washington.
District covers a large area, such as a state, and oversees the operation of Division and the domestic units.

Division Command, known simply as Division, is a branch of the Counter Terrorist Unit which oversees the operation and, if necessary, command of domestic units in a designated area. Division can order a lockdown and reviews the cases of domestic unit agents who have been relieved of duty.

    Division reports to District Command.
