Interest list for 2/5 NL/PL Holdem

Have managed to get it going a couple of times in the past but never really took off, I'll play most nights, anyone else interested on getting it going once a week or so to start off with? In the Fitz.

Well considering that's how the current Hold em games got started in the fitz I can see it taking off. Just needs to get started.

Gonna have to start out that way, the game should take off as new players see it on the board. This is how holdem cash games were introduced to Dublin in the first place http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=196825&referrerid=&highlight=

Feck it, I'm in. Lets do it on a Friday / Saturday night tho so that we can have better chances of a bit of dead / drunken money getting in on the action. If it is only sharks of the quality of yourself and Mr Pillow Talk for the entire night I will feel like a big Smoked Haddock...

I would be amazed if Oscar was talking about anything other than a Holdem only game. The NL/PL part is that he is leaving that bit open,a nd that the game may be either, but it won't be both.

Table dependant (degenerates such as Lloyd;) ), the cash games in the SE frequently becomes a 1/2/7 PL game.

It would probably be capped at 500 if it was NL and uncapped if it was PL, I would be pushing for an uncapped NL game though - minimum buyin if 100.
The problem with trying to start this on a Friday is that most interested play the tournament so it never takes off, I would say thursday or saturday would be better.
I know there are decent sized 1/2 PL games around but they tend to be very hit and miss with feeder games hardly worth playing.

i'd play this thursday night, wouldnt be in till after 12.30 though. sick of sittin down at miserable feeder games in the fitz and SE at tables full of short buy in idiots

id love a 1-2 NL game. even if this started it might enncourage the leap to 2-5?

I would play if it became a regular game and not just full of people who talk sense on here:) .
I would prefer if the min buyin was €200 as opposed to €100, maybe letting people buy back in short for €100 if they wanted.

The reason for the 100 min is the rake, traditionally in Dublin the rake goes up between 50min 100min and 250min (along with the blinds), this is the main reason the 100 PLO game is 100 min buyin.

If we could get a full table in on a Thursday or Saturday names would appear on the board, after that I think it would need 5/6 regular players to keep it going.

You've just solved a long standing mystery for me thank you.

Oh and I'm sure I would play some 2/5 as staying up all night to play 1/2 just isn't worth it.

there's a lot of talk that the capped NL games are one reason why the card rooms here in California have flourished. Commerce has ludicriously low caps, and I hate playing there because of that, but Vegas is fanastic at 100x the BB as a cap.

There was no interest for this last night. Mine was the only name on the list all night. If im around on Saturday i will play. It seems like there are a few here who have said they would too.
