C4 and Cars.

C4 on a jeep, go top speed, get near a tank, jump out watch the jeep roll on and boom bye bye tank and you're not dead.Is this new to 1.4, i know before 1.4 it meant cetain death. I've started doing it myself to fairly moderate success. Is it me or do the vehicles roll on more as you jump out?

Havent really noticed, havent seen any vechicles roll on on our infantry server anyway.,

Actually I used to do that all the time in older editions. What really annoys me are the pointless suicide attacks where it goes like follows. C4 on jeep, go top speel, get near tank, drive right into tank. Everybody dies.

I've seen that happening so. damn. much lately its ridiculous. Jalalabad in particular.

Jumping out used to be a dumb idea, as the APC would mow you down. Tried jumping out in the past, but I'd get mowed down by the APC/tank when I was running away (so I'd survive the explosion, otherwise why run?).

Funny thing is, the person in the APC calls it lame if I kill them (and I die), but if I jump out, and they kill me (and I don't get a chance to hit the trigger, as I haven't ran that far) its ok. Spa's, tbh. Its only since 1.4 beta that you could jump out, flick the switch, and survive (maybe with feck all health, but life is life).

Finally, if a tank has mowed 20 of your guys, and no-one can kill it, what better way than a jeep full of C4. Why die trying, if you can die succeeding?

Hahaha, I love doing this...
Its way better using the little US dune buggy things, they go for miles when you jump out... I really love pissing people off doing this, but make sure when you come near a tank you swerve left then right and go head on and jump out....

N.B - This is how I got Veteran Explosive Ordinance....

Yeah you can really piss of people on a server doing this. Specially the noobs who queue for the tank only to be pwned as they jump in.

wouldn't call myself a noob. only time this pisses me off is when the person doesn't even try to surivive just going for kill, just hit button as they get out off car and die straight away.

I try to survive most of the time.
Frickin hilarious to see people go bananas when you do this to them over and over again. And there is nothing wrong with it, might be unsporting but so is sitting in a tank for 40 minutes racking up 200 points....

Although what is far far more amusing is when you're being a tank whore raping all the enemy infantry and some idiot charges you with a jeep and you're like, "wtf?" aim, BANG and the jeep explodes three hundred feet away. Big explosion too. Phew, must've had a lot of C4 on that. Oh look, another one, BANG, three hundred thirty feet...and so on.

Its a valid tacic and one i have used many a time..sometimes i make it out alive and other times i dont.
If a tank is sitting there owning it up i will go in with the intention of dying just to get rid of the fecker!

Did this last night on Wake Island. Tanks spawn at the Island tips flags so if I go ashore via boats I always load the waiting jeep up with c4. Took a jeep and tank out as they where shooting in the other direction. I jumped out and was well out of the blast zone.

Valid tactic in my opinion.

I also love seeing jeeps tearing around a base running over people. I just drop some c4 and wait, sure enough they come blazing at you thinking your and easy target and BOOM no more jeep.
