Has anyone ever been to this event. I have heard the name of it before and I would be interested in going. What sort of stuff could I expect to see and would you recommend that I go?

It's good in that they have all the "toys" in one place like pool tables, surround sound systems, HD TV's, Tubs, swissy cars and motorbikes etc.
Like the title says "Toys for big boys" so if you're doing up a batchelor pad, it's grand otherwise didn't think it was great value tbh.
    If you go to
WWW.RDS.IE and look for the event there should be a list of the exhibitors there.

    Went last year.

Highlight of the show was the fashion show - specifically the lingerie and swimwear line. Otherwise it was muppets trying to sell you hot tubs and ****. It wasn't great. The bachelor's pad thing is pretty cool but after 4 minutes of looking at a big tv, lazy boy chairs and lava lamps it gets boring.

I got free tickets last year so that's why I went - I wouldn't go again - even if the tickets were free. I definately wouldn't pay to get in.

It was asolutely terrible last year. Sometimes they hand out free tickets outside it though.

The only reason I went was ecause i had been given free tickeds, and what a disappointment

    Very dissapointing.

Went last year, managed to miss the lingerie show!
Otherwise as posted above, 10 minutes looking at stuff, and you're done!

    DO NOT GO!
I got free tickets last year and it was the worst hour of my life....
I can't imagine paying into a shop - that's all it is a junk shop

I got a free ticket the year before last and it was ok. Highlight was the corrs beer bar. They gave you a voucher for a free beer on the way in but I managed to get some extra vouchers ;-)

Definitely wouldn't pay into it though, paying into a place where people are trying to sell you stuff doesn't make any sense to me, they should be paying us to go in.

I was there last year and thought that it was a complete rip off. And then they send me 2 invites to the launch last week.

Great I thought. It said - strictly RSVP only. So on the Monday I sent the note to say that I would be there with one other. It was on the night of the Ireland v Czech match. Made all my arrangements - got the bus in to work (might of had to get a few pints!!).

Then at 4:45pm on the Wednesday - they sent me an email to say that they were uninviting me. They had too many.

What a bunch of w.nk..s.. They really how to know how to annoy people. Why did they not let me know before I had nearly left for it. gurrrr..

I agree with the those who found it a rip-off.

If I wanted to watch a DVD on a big screen beside a lava lamp I'd call around to a mates house. And I wouldn't have to do it with in a crowd of 50 sweaty people there either.

Kevin Costner said it best: "Build it, and they will come."

Even with 50% off this thing is a waste of a bloody day, would rather spend the day cutting the lawn, thats how exciting it was.

    Right so.
Everybody has got FREE tickets in the past.
I'd like 2 just to see what it's like, so if you get 2 and don't want to go....
