    Hi folks,

I am running a Muay Thai Workshop for K.O. Martial Arts members on Friday evening at 7pm, and have a few places left over.

Chupasart Muay Thai's Paddy Clint will be giving a 3 hour workshop at a cost of just €15 per head.

Places are very limited however and you won't be able to turn up on the night and train, so get in contact with me to book a place by mail info[at]ko-martialarts.com or by phone 085-8320174

    Cheers,
    Barry

Only just saw your post Gerry!
yes I'll put a review up over the weekend, all of our guys are really looking forward to it, I've done a few classes with Paddy before and he improved my kicking in 1 class!!! Funny thing was I thought I had that whole kicking thing down!!! Should be a good session.

Hi folks, just posting a quick review and a big thank you for Paddy's class the other night.

There were all sorts at the workshop, from complete first timers, to MMA guys looking to brush up on their striking, to interested Taekwondoists. It made for a diverse bunch, and to Paddy's credit, he managed to get around to coaching everybody one to one a good bit during the session.

The focus was on the 8 weapons of Muay Thai, and Paddy explained to the group that the beauty of Thai is in its simplicity. The session took in the basics of the Thai method, its approach to kicking, punching, knees and elbows, and of course, the clinch. There were also had some helpful tips for holding pads on offer!

It wasn't all work work work though, there were also some insights into Thai culture and the mentality of a Thai fighter, as well as a few anecdotes and a few awful Northsider jokes that went down about as well as could be expected in Glasnevin. :)

Overall, for an evolving group like our own, this was perfect, a great insight into one of the greatest striking arts on offer. My thanks go to everyone who turned up to give it a go, the lads from 3 Castles MMA, (especially Dylan and Andreas who had to settle for watching), James and Daniel from Airport TKD, my own crew and of course Paddy Clint for a great session.

Paddy's gym is Chupasart Muay Thai in Rathcoole: www.chupasart.com

    Cheers,
    Barry

Ah Paddy you were never in danger of catching anything, sure you've built up a resistance from years spent up North.:)

The jokes were funny you were just lucky you said them after my specialised team of hubcap robbers had gone home...
