Just was wondering if anyone new if the aeriel wire from a reciever in a buggy is anything specific had some aeriel issue on the weekend and managed to melt the aeriel onto the manifold!!
It looks multicore but I dont know what the metal is?

    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks

it's standard copper wire, not sure what gauge it is though.

    Twisted strand copper
    0.12 to 0.25 mm 2

A servo extension cable has three strands of it.

    Thanks guys!

I have some Cat 5 here but its single core so I think it may break and or crack eventually?

The other is of the same gauge about 22 gauge and isnt copper.
However I believer that the length is more important? :)

Dont worry too much about the thickness of it, just get the length the same as the original.

    cheers for the help guys.

I had a gander at the Futaba site (its a futaba RX) and they stated that ground based receivers are 19 1/2 " in length.
Ill cross reference this with whats left of my original and see!

    Thanks again
    Nick.

You can pick it up for a few euros at a LHS, but like The Doktor says it needs to be the same lenght as original which is usualy 1mtr long, maybe shorter in RXs for surface models???
