    Hi All

What's the difference between ordering off Dell as a small business user opposed to a home user. Dell have some better offers in the Small Business section. The delivery and VAT are added at the end and you have the option to pay the VAT. Do people that order from dell here order through the home option or the Small business even if they are not registerd for VAT or does it make a difference?

    Thanks in Advance.

AFAIK u'll need a vat no in order not to pay vat... apart from that u can order from it as normal.. i know a few people that have done it. The also seem to be more open to haggling. When i was looking for a dell 2405 monitor i was able to get €500 knocked off the net price by talking crap about how i was seting up a net cafe n was looking to buy one with a view to buying another 20..... Still, managed to get one cheaper from a shop in scotland....

So basically you can just order as normal online and pay the VAT, I persume delivery is the same and doesn't take any longer?

Yep... Just make up a company name. I dont think theres much difference in the price.

One major difference is that the small business lines are in India, the home lines are Irish.. Well at least thats the experience i had, and dear god its worth the extra to deal with an irish person... Had far to many bad experiences with the indian call center...

Spent 40 mins n 5 phone calls on friday trying to order a pc only to find out that the section i was looking for was closed early... Its an absolute sham

Oh, and before u say.. why dont u just order over the net.. I've always gotten money off or better specs by ordering over the phone.. Last one i ordered i got extra ram, better gfx n a bigger HD for nowt...

Cheers for the input mate, there is 126 euro difference in the price, which is large enough.

I hate ringing them as I have to sit through being told how I need antivirus, etc.
