I downloaded and installed the Windows Vista RC1 the other day.

So far, it;s the best version of windows ever. Its very stable and the new Aero interface is cool.

Windows Media Centre is included with the Ultimate version and it's pretty cool.

Overall, Microsoft have done a great job, can't wait to buy it in January

Cool! Does it occupy more or less diskspace than Windows XP?

doubt it considering newer and better for microsoft normally means more gb's.

also the fact that it's a beta won't help the hard drive usage.

You must be tired :) The link is Stephen's post that I specified above is named Windows Vista RC2, all the links are labelled RC2, and the first line is red, stating that this page is for "Windows Vista RC2, a new test build."

    Interesting. It brings me to
http://download.windowsvista.com/preview/rc2/en/download.htm. And I don't see anything on the page to suggest that I am logged in in any way.

Let me try clearing my cookies and cache and try it again.

EDIT: Yep, that blocked my entry.

I think RC2 is allot more limited in its downloads... The Gold(final beta) is due next month.. RC2 should be up on most torrents sites by now..

As for space, i think the betas take up 15gb.... Cant remember..
