The worst play I've ever seen

It never ceases to amaze me just how badly some people play online, especially some people who think they are winners in a particular game. Villain in this hand is Reggie "cardshark202" Lyons, an overaggressive challenging station from England.

After my last play I have just 4 letters left in my stack. Instead of playing a bingo like STRIVED on the triple bonus square on the middle right, for 91 points to win the game immediately, he opts to challenge my last play of ZOO, a word well known to most 4 year olds. Obviously he loses next turn.

The upside of the online poker ban in America -- soon idiots like this degenerate bottom feeding angle shooting Brit will be playing Scrabble online for money instead!

After my last play I have just 4 letters left in my stack. I played a non-word, LEZ, which was somehow allowed by the scrabble dictionary, much to my disbelief and relief as Reggie challenges it. He was correct to challenge my word and I got very very lucky, which seems to be the only way I can beat him.

I must apologise to Reggie for the awful play I made that I got lucky with.

The upside of the online poker ban in America -- I can devote more time to improving my scrabble skills which I will need to do if I want to win consistently.

Surely theres word generator programs out there that can create the best possible words from letters given?.

Nice scores btw. My score is usually between the 290-310 mark.

Just finished this game. My opponent didn't challenge me once, even when I played "Quave" and "Redialers".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭karlh

Quave is a perfectly cromulent expression.

Jesus I never realised what a bunch of complete no life nerds post on this forum.

This guy who was hosting the game was bitching to me constantly about taking too long each turn. I was hammering him by 50 points until the luckbox scored "grunters" for 71. A few moves later I have less than one minute left and look doomed. Then score 72 with "droning".

    In your face biatch!!!

...and you clearly didn't challenge his "UNSIFT", "EK", "DET", "HIR" or "CAXE" lol

I agree, but only because I really suck at scrabble

What does siht mean? Clearly a non-word. As is fcuk.

EK was mine, I didn't notice CAXE or DET, to my annoyance. but UNSIFT was 50:50, and I would have challenged it if it was worth more points, similarly HIR. I was winning the game by a wide margin by the time UNSIFT came around as well, and had another bingo in the making which I didn't want to jeapordise.

Dunno, I was just trying to join in :/

I'd play monopoly online for real money though. Google doesn't bring up anything playable.

was playing this scrabble online earlier when i had the sneaking suspision i was being duped by an anagram program. My suspicions were confirmed when the guy usues all 7 seven letters to make AUDUNES for 90 points.

    End of bad beat rant

The computer characters have a c beside their name and have the highest ratings, but the most obvious giveaway is the fact that they can produce all their words in a fraction of a second. :)

Nah it was a real player alright. It was obvious he was running his letters through some automated machine pulling such obscure words out. But his biggest giveaway was pretending he didint know how to play at the start.

Frustrating when your 15 pts ahead and he pulls out a 60 followed by a 90 pointer. I asked him what AUDUNES meant to which he responded I usually only play on yahoo
