I am nearly sure my guitar needs to have the truss rod adjusted and a few frets leveled, as I cant get rid of fret buzz without having the action way too high.....

Anyone know a good guitar tech? or whats the best shop to drop it into?

    Thanks :)

P.s How much is a job like this likely to cost? €20 - €50 ?

JFYI its actually very easy to adjust the truss rod yourself - even I can do it! :D The key things are 1) know which way to turn to increase or reduce relief 2) turn no more than 1/8 of a turn at a time, no more than 1/4 turn per day and 3) it takes a while for the neck to move after you turn the truss rod so be very patient.

Do a Google for guitar truss rod set up.

If you're willing to travel head up the road to Carlow and drop it into Barry in Ad Lib Music - the mans a genius when it comes to guitars. I always send mine to him when anything goes wrong.

AFAIK AdLib opened a second store in Kilkenny, but then again Barry stopped working for them a year ago!

I asked in Essaness, they said it would cost €25 for the setup with new strings but they couldnt do it till next week...

I will ring Ad-lib and see how soon they could do it....
