Does anyone know anything about the game they have on in the fitz where you play holdem againse the dealer? I'm looking for the rules and odds, dealer edge.

What's it actually called, couldn't locate much with google.

It is called 3 card brag and I know only a little about it. It is not holdem. you get 3 cards and there are 3 different places you place your chips. One is Ante, which must be paid. Another is (I think) where you bet that you will beat the dealer, and another is where you bet on getting a pair or better.

There are fixed odds paid. I don not know much about the edge, but I am sure there is one for the house. Google 3 card brag and the likes and it will tell you more.

Over in the corner beside the roulette tables is the Texas Hold'em game Mr.F is talking about. You bet on the flop, turn and river. I've never tried it and dont know much about it but i have seen Smurph play it. Maybe she can help

Thanks, that looks like it biteme.

Im not sure if its exaclty the same. My friend was explaining to me (and wants to play it against me, hence my interest) and said that you had to place an ante but then if you wanted to continue after seeing you had to place a bet of 3x your ante, and all subsequent bets were the same size (3x the ante). Is this how its played in the Fitz? The rules above say you place a bet equal to the ante. I havn't seen it played ever.

Also, what is 'Push', the dealer wins all?
If the player has the higher hand the Flop, Turn, and River bets will pay even money. If the player has a straight or higher the Ante bet will also pay even money, otherwise it will push.[/QUOTE]

The push means that the dealer only pays the flop turn and river bets, player gets his money back on the ante bet.

Say ante is 5 to see flop you go 3x so 15, 5 to see turn 5 to see river. In vegas Straight or better qualified to pay on the ante, in the Fitz its Flush or better.

I get u. You can tell I don't play house games not knowing what push is.

US rules say you have to place a 2x bet (2 x the ante) to see the flop. So you place 5 ante, then 10 bet = 15 total bet so far.
Is this the same as the fitz or in the fitz do you place 5 ante, then 15 flop bet = 20 total?

Could have sworn it was 3 times - a few of us killed the game in Vegas. Best advice would be to download dublinbet, its played live there.

edit - it was 2x in Vegas, would say its the same in the Fitz.

I'm pretty certain if played properly you can get a slight edge on this game. Especially if there are a couple of others at the table and you can see their cards. It was called texas hold 'em bonus poker in Vegas, think it's the same over here. Never bet on the bonus.

Unless you've had a few beers and believe Marq when he tells you to always bet on the bonus.

Heh, or PF, flop, turn & river.

Dublinbet has it. Thats pretty cool that you can see the dealer live (I presume). It is 2x, my mate got it wrong.

Hey, dublinbet is mad. You can type stuff and the live(?) dealer responds. Very cool. Is it a real dealer or some funky AI? Pity gambling is a sin :(

The Fitz dealers dont respond anyway, possibly a host.
