Anyone got any tips for shopping in Boston - particularly Wrentham Outlet and Boston City itself? Anyone able to recommend good hotels that are reasonable? All tips greatly appreciated!

Wrethman is well worth a visit, go early and stay all day, you'll need it.
On the way there you could stop in at the South Shore Plaza or the nearby Braintree retail park beside Braintree T station just south of Boston.
In the city itself lots of dept. stores around Downtown Crossing, more expensive high end spots in Newbury St. and the Back Bay.
The Cambridge Side Galleria Mall is also worth a vistit (Take the T to Lechmere)

Sorry but i can't advise any places to stay but try hotels.com or tripadvisor.com for reviews etc.

Filenes basement has plenty of bargains.

Wrentham is great. If you're not driving I think you can get a bus. It's about an hour outside Boston, depending on the side of Boston you're staying. I don't know about hotels as I stayed with my sister and she drove to Wrentham.
