If you want I can put soem satellites on GJP for the boards monthly game?

I would suggest a $30 Freeze and a $15 rebuy both once a week? Need some suggestions for days and times.

Anyone who would play these please post here so I can get a feel for numbers etc.

I'd play - I'd suggest around the 9pm mark early in the week, Mon or Tues.

Maybe around 9 would be perfect, in between the 20k and 15k. Mon,Tues, and Wed.

yes, I'd happily make 6 $15 rebuys to satellite into a €200 tournie!!

the FO is a better idea unless you make the rebuy amount much lower imo

Id play a freeze out defo. Dont suppose there is a date for the next one yet??

I will have a Freezout posted for Monday & Wednesday next week at 9pm. A $30 freezeout with 1 ticket gt'd and a ticket for every $256 in the prizepool.

This will give you plenty of time to get a GJP account set up.

Remember if you have a tribeca account already you will need to visit www.bluesq.com and set up a sortsbook account and then ping the manager from the GJP client to link it to your poker account.

If you are on Bluesq or Uncoverpoker then you will just need to download GJP and log in using your existing account details.

    Hi,

Just looking at this sounds like a great idea, I have been looking at the structure and comments made by boarders. The structure will stay almost the same as long as people don’t mind coming back on the Sunday to finish. I was looking at Saturday the 4th for the next one but possibly increasing the buy in to €250. Have a meeting tomorrow to discus with the big bosses. Will start a new thread ASAP with my ideas for improvement etc so that you all can give me some feed back

    John.

Excellent stuff John. I must say you've done a great job so far and listening to whats been said will make a huge difference. You can put me down for the next one.

No chance of making it the 11th is there? Id love to play the next one but will be thousands of miles away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,754 ✭✭✭ianmc38

I think the 11th might be better for the next one as some people cant make the 4th and there is something on in the Fitz that weekend.

    Whats everyone think?

    I can't make the 11th :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,897 ✭✭✭BigDragon

The 4th of Nov is the First Annual 4 Nations Charity Heads-up Team Event.

This will have a decent amount of the customers from the last game so please make it the 11th.

Sats for team qualification coming soon ;) as well as the official announcement :o

11th is good with me. I want HJ to play so I can get my revenge.

try and keep it as a 200+20 game, i know im probably in the minority here but an extra 50 does it make it harder to run qualifiers for and makes it less accessible to those with a small bankroll. if you make it 250 it becomes very close to the fitz 270 game. And realistically if the you make it that close to the fitz 270 game it wont be long until they simply decide that teh 270 game is a 2 day event too and both tournies take players away from each other. keeping it 200 makes a clearer distinction.

The way the fitz EOM structure has been going lately, i dont think you have to worry about it becoming a 2 day tourny! 2 hours maybe

Dont see how the two tournies will clash at all. Just because they are the same buyin makes no difference. Im happy to pay 250. More easy money.

11th is whopper for me, see you then. this is the only tourney i am going to get to play each month, so keep it as is!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 568 ✭✭✭58o

Best tourney i've played in by a country mile, well done to everyone involved getting it going. I'm also a definite for the next one, looks like demand is going to be high , any chance of being able to register in advance (this would ease up admin on the day as well)
Definetly gonna play this every month ,no other tourney comes close.

As an aside, how about spreading some No limit/2-5 PL games on the night, given the attendees i'm sure a table or two would fill no problem later in the night.

May I just note that the Cue Club in Kerry has a winter festivel of Poker on the 11 November - €400 buy - in 2 day event. I'm sure Connie will confirm. I would imagine that some of the better Dublin players were thinking of going down for that. Therefore, the 11th may not be ideal.

    I am in favour of a €250 buy in event - €220 + 30 reg.

yeah i think this festival could potentially have an impact on this event.
    something to take under consideration.

It can't be a moveable date. Decide on a specific date and let it stand on its own merits. You can't have it clash free all the time. If it is on different times every month it wouldn't be right, as well as being more awkward for the SE to schedule. Hopefully now I can play in December as I missed the first one and can't play on the 11th Nov.

This makes a huge amount of sense Dom. I would say it goes on the 4th of November, and the first Saturday of every month thereafter.

where is this moveable feast taking place? Is it a buffet or silver service? how much will it cost me?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭willis

11th...gwan! Prefer it to be €220, but will stretch to €250 if the structure remains untouched

I believe this is youth speak for 'quite' or 'indeed' or similiar. A linguist such as yourself must be very disturbed at the trend towards all the wordmakeupmanship being displayed lately on this board.

You need to change the language.

Set it to "Ghetto to English".

Could this event be ranked? And if so would it be too much to ask for it to be back dated!?:)

Your right LL, my festival is on the week-end of the 11th. Our main event is a €400 f/o, a 2 day game with 45min blinds all the way. So for sure none of us Kerrymen could make it up to the boards game if it clashes.I would expect most serious players in munster will be in Killarney that weekend and it would be nice to welcome down some of my fellow boardsters.(even John in the SE has promised to be here.

Still,if it happens it happens. The boards tourney was a cracker and should stand on its own. If its set for the 4th, then make it the 1st saturday of every month thereafter so when others are organising tourneys they can try and work around it.

are these satellites still happening this week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,761 ✭✭✭redzerdrog

I just checked GJP and cant find the these sats.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,506 ✭✭✭Shortstack

I can't put the sats up until I know when it is or the buy in. Last I read it was going to be €220 or €270.
