yeah can,t wait the engine is a 3.0 V6 Essex engine all done pro.Stag had an engine conversion at Specialized Engines Limited in Essex. It has been fitted with the well known and popular 3.0 V6 Essex engine. All original documentation is present. looking forward to the drive home:)

PS: Want to see a picture of the engine?!!
obversely it will get my treatment in some nice chrome and a new filter etc

Are you going to use it over the winter? I was out this afternoon avoiding the huge puddles. It was making me cringe, but this is ireland, so you have to be prepared to get wet and muddy. It won't look like that photo for long.

no stag, sorry, only ever made it as far as a spitfire. I love the stag, but i'm too much of a tree hugger to have a 3 litre. I had one of the old saab 900 turbos a long time ago and couldn't believe how thirsty it was. A 2 litre rover sd1 a few years later gave me a similar fright. I haven't ventured over the 1.8 litre since, unless of course it's a diesel. It's all right if it's your weekend car, but it's hard to justify 15-20mpg from your daily driver

i know what you mean we have a everyday car for the boring every day trips so i don,t really mind the cost at weekends etc. that sound off a Triumph Stag is unreal:)

Replacing the Stag v8 with the Essex V6 is interesting, usually its the lightweight but hardy Buick/Rover 3.5 that gets installed.

    Mike.

Heh, must have been one of the really old ones - my 92 900 lpt got 30mpg driving in and out to work, 35+ on long runs. Hopefully my 91 t16s will be as good.

That BRG is a seriously good looking colour on the Stag. Not sure about the white hardtop, it's a nice combination, but I hope you get the top painted BRG too. That colour seems to suit big, long cars.
