I'm looking to check out the physical size of my pokertracker postgresql database, anybody know how to do this?

    I think it's a few different files located at C:\program files\Postrgesql\8.0\data\base\#####
where ##### is some number and there are several different large files here a couple of which are over 200 mb - I'm not 100% this is correct but this these files are updating when I import so it looks right to me.

Anyway related to this - I have a lot of redundant data in my pokertracker database - i.e. from players I'm very unlikley to see again - do people use the purge facility or do you just start over with a fresh database every year or so?

Also was wondering if people use seperate databases for shorthand, full-ring, no-limit, fixed-limit etc?

I can't be of help on the other stuff but i've started a little experiment with limit poker and i've set up a seperate DB for it. I'm thinking of making a similar NL one as well as my old default db has a lot of lower level hands which are of little use now.

I tried to use the purge but found it would take ages as you couldnt select all that you wanted to purge in one go, but had to do bits at a time. I was assures by PTPat that they were going to improve the purge function soon - maybe they have already, i haven't checked the latest update. I wouldn't just start again as I'd lose any recent info I have, and I use PT to keep myself in check aswel as the oppostion.

Does double clicking on the name of the database (perhaps in the import HH window) show the size of the DB, like it does with non postgre ones? Don't have PT here so cant try:(
