    This Thursday October 12th we are very very happy to welcome one of our techno heroes to EC, Sir Luke Slater. Whether it's under one of his many aliases such as the legendary Planetary Assault Systems, or his classic chillout 7th Plain disguise or his hard to get Morganistic project or simply just under his own name, the chances are you have been touched by the sound of Luke Slater at some stage of your life.

    He is without doubt a bona fide techno legend and it's a pleasure to finally welcome him to Electric City for an unmissable [well to us] DJ set. No stranger to Dublin, we were on the dancefloor giving it socks as they say when Luke first played here many mixes ago at Ohh Francois's pioneering UFO club. Since then Luke has been a regular visitor to these shores with sets at the Temple of Sound, Temple Bar Music Centre, Red Box, The Ambassador and Oxygen to name a few. His DJ sets are dark, deep and trippy and this set will be no different. So join us on the 12th as we nervously await one of our heroes to EC. Support comes from EC resident Giles Armstrong who owns many a Slater track past and present and previously warmed up for Luke when he played at the Ambassador a few years back.     Wont be able to make this but looks like a top nite Luke Slater is one of the few Techno DJ's id go and see thesedays always original and fresh and doesn't always stick to the same style.:cool:
