I have moved into an apartment in Dublin recently vacated by a group of Germans who had purchased and installed a satellite dish with a Palcom DSL-4 receiver, unfortunately I have no idea how to change it to receive any free English language channels. Currently the majority of the channels are german or french language. Is there something that can be done or is the equipment no good to me? Any help is appreciated, unfortunately not really literate in the ways of satellite.

The dish needs moved about 9 degrees east and slightly tilted forward to get the 28.2 Satellites that BBC/ITV etc come from.

Then you select 28.2 Astra/Eurobird on Menu and scan.

Likely some transponders need manually added to. I have a Palcom DSL4 and have used it for UK TV on single dish on Sky Quad, on motorised dish, 4 LNBs via disqec switch and on a multiswith apartment system. Great receiver.
