    Which options are you missing?
I think you need to add a channel before you get the option to add listings to channel..

im missing the "add listings to channel"
i tried adding a channel manually but still didnt get any options.

    sorry, post might be confusing,
that isnt a screenshto from my pc, its an image from google.

do you have all of those options krusty?

I know that I used to have all of those options, but now I seem to be missing the [Add listings to Channel] option.. I know I had it in the past.. I'd say it's gone since the Emerald roll-up 2, e.g. It was there previously when you had to perform a manual tune.. But that's just a guess..

Are you getting your signal via DVB-T? If it's coming from your Sky Box, you may need to re-set up your TV signal, to accomodate the FTA Film4.

no, its coming through ntl stb over an analog composite cable.
i get "no data available" for filmfour, among many other channels and would like to manaully add listings for them.

the link to the mvp blog is only since august so im quite sure he would have ru2 installed.

i had previously manually set up all my channels,
ie back in march, when we didnt have mapped listings,
    and dont remember that option.
its only that i saw it in the blog that i even knew it existed.

If you run through the TV setup wizard again but choose unmapped digital/analogue cable service the Film4 entry may show up but of course you will have to manually map everything out to the correct channels.

Cant think of any other way to get the data but I wonder if any of the EPG hacks for would help some at least are meant for unsupported countries but I haven't really looked into those too much.

im not loking for a hack or manual workaround for my entire guide,
some people have the option in mce to manually add guide listings for one channel.

im wondering if anyone else in ireland has this option...

I don't have the option either I presume it's related to DVB-T broadcasts perhaps or some other type of system if you get your TV over the air, just a guess

    ah, that would make sense.
so if using a dvb-t tuner does mce still pull in guide data from the internet or does it grab the data from the epg sent with the signal?

That would be interesting I read it doesn't support all the features of the DVB-T system like the interactive stuff but maybe it does pull down the EPG from broadcast signal.

I wonder if anyone here who is picking up the Irish DVB-T trial and is running MCE gets any guide data through the service ?

Just a slight update been toying with Vista RC2 MCE and when I selected unmapped digital cable service I can see the EPG data for Film4 & Film4 +1
