booster pedal

I'm looking for a pedal that will act as a booster when I'm playing lead parts.
I currently has a boss ds-1 as my main pedal and was using the amp overdrive through a footswitch for lead parts, but the footswitch failed on me two times now so rather than fix it I'm going to get a new pedal. I was looking at the boss blues driver and a few others.
Any ideas?

You have plenty of options. You could go for something like the Seymour Duncan booster, which will give you 25db of clean volume boost

or perhaps an EQ pedal, boost specific frequencies to boost but also shape your lead tone, rather than just making your regular tone louder.

Maxon OD808. I used it to boost my Peavey classic valve amp. Gave the distortion the extra bit of bite it needed

indeed i now own that 808,tis deadly alos my zvex super hard on is bleedin deadly,loud little bastard though!

MXR Micro Amp
One Knob how much boost you need sounds great can be used to drive a tube amp to break up I use it with my Orange Rocker sounds great sturdy too.

Tom Morello uses the Boss Graphic Equalizer.Flea uses the MXR micro amp.Something like that should work!
