This story doesnt seem to be the regular run of the mill rumor and appears not to be on the Nintendo Forum here on boards,
So i thought i would add it - FRESH NEWS

I know that its not seen reported on IGN yet, but they might comment on it next week or soon.. surely they would've put an end to excite Nintendo followers hopes immediately rather than last minute.
    If it was one..that is!!

So alas heres hoping Cubed3 are right..

Any ideas as to how it may control??

I can see throw ins and kick outs working well but as for the rest..... I'm not so sure. I'll wait and see how it pans out but I'll be getting the 360 for my pes this year

EDIT Just read the second link - Strapping the controler to you foot would be cool (even if just for a few mins), imagine 4 player in your living room :)

I could only see putting the Wii-mote on your foot for penalties, because the agony of playing the usual 15mins would be scary!!

Ps. How is the 360 game wise at the moment? Because i got an Xbox at the end of its shelf life and that console was really boring!! Xbox Live needs to be free for it now :) to add some life to it!!

EDIT Wait use another Wii-mote on your foot.. of course its brilliant and then it would be really accurate :D or maybe Nintendo need a Wireless Nunchuck ... Maybe a gimmick is in the work tho??

That could only end in pain. This wouldn't be the namby-pamby polite wii tennis, rather imagine four 6 foot lads flailing their legs about in each others vicinity.

I won't even get started on slide tackles

But seriously, I think there are certain games that should be played in a standard manner. Shoe-horning certain current gen games into the wii control method isn't going to work. Classic controller all the way for PES6 (or PES7 as it might be).

Will the next Pro Evo be called Pro Evo Soccer 6 or Pro Evo Soccer: winning eleven 2007??

Former in Europe, latter in America.

This idea sounds terrible, I'll be sticking with the 360 version.

The 360 has a lot of great games on it now and plenty more on the way over the next few months. If you didn't like the xbox though it might no necessarily be your thing. The games are, so far, pretty similar types to what came on the xbox.
As for live needing to be free, I don't think so. They are keeping it stable and regularly updated and it is thriving, I can put in any of my games and be sure there will be plenty of people to have a game with... no need to wait around for ages trying to find someone to play against. The fact is that most people are happy to pay the price as it's not a bad deal considering what you get. If you are waiting for free live to get a 360, I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Maybe best wait for the PS3, apparantly it will have free online, will probably stink though.

Im not a big fan of soccer games but its nice to see Nintendo using the controller in every way intended.

I agree. Soccer games are best kept to the simple controllers. There's no reason a dev should have to fit the controller to the game, it's there if they want to use it. I'll be using my gamecube controller for pes if I ever get it on the wii.

I'm sure thats what they'll end up doing. If they have strapping it to your foot, I imagine, it'll be a party game or something for when your friends come over so you can have a penalty shoot out or something.

I don't really play this game (because I suck at it) but I think they should use the classic controller for it and I imagine they will. Super Smash Brothers Brawl is using the classic controller so it's not like Nintendo don't know certain existing genres just don't work with the Wiimote.
