I wasn’t really sure where to post this so ill post here and see what happens.

I’ve recently finished doing a part time beauty course. I’m now qualified and looking for some part time work. As part of the course we had to do a certain amount of hours a week work experience. The place I got was great, they actually let me go after 2 days and signed my forms because they knew what it was like working full time, college and then part time working.

I’m looking to start working part time and get my feet in somewhere..

I’ve started to send out a few CVs but nothings coming of it, I was thinking of maybe ringing the place I did my work experience.

Would it be okay for me to ring or should I do it in writing? I rang this place when I was looking for my work experience, but now that I’m actually looking for a proper job I’m thinking maybe ringing wouldn’t be appropriate

There is a work forum somewhere.

You could call into the shop and have a chat with your old boss, informally like.
Then work into the converation that you are looking for work and ask if they have positions available. Ask the boss if you could come back with a CV.
    Otherwise ring.

I agree with that. It would be best to drop in and speak with the person face-to-face. But I would bring a CV with you. Good luck :)
