Its an awful draw heavy board - 3-to a straight and 2 flush draws.

His straight will be no match for you when you fill up on the river, get it all in! I would fold though.

Hell no! Like the rest of us, I aspire to reach the same dizzying heights that this man has reached. Many have tried few are chosen.

Do you think there's a chance that overbetting the turn induces these raises from weaker hands sometimes? You don't have to bet this much to price someone out of their draw and since you are on the button it won't cost you any more on the river when you do get outdrawn. Since I'd have no intention of calling a check raise I'd always bet 40 here and occasionally save myself $10. That bet size should have the same effect against chasers 90% of the time but it also doesn't scream that I want to end the hand right here.

At best you are up against AK, however the Pre & Post F action can safely rule AK out.

He flat called that miserable flop bet, what big hands off the flop would do this on such a draw heavy board? you'd be insane to slow play a set of 5's here or just plain stupid.

78s smack bang in the face. Fold, he does not have AK.

    I bet the pot.

And if he is drawing, then now is my only chance to get him to cough up, because he wont pay me anymore on the river if he misses.

on a slightly related note, I always love when someone posts a hand and says the villain is a solid good player; then the good player ends up min raising at some stage during the hand.

hahaha, brilliant! Dammit I'd like to know what the villain had, no hand-end banter or show from villain to give us any clues? :(
