Might be too soon for them to show up yet,

If you cant find the Intellimouse v3 the Laser 6000 mouse is a good alternative it is very accurate and has a similar shape to the Intellimouse v3 plus it has a click scroll wheel (not the fluid kind found on most MS mice).

What's so new about that? They came out in 2001.
My daughter has been using one for the last 4-5 years.

if your looking for a gaming mouse have a look here http://www.komplett.ie/k/kl.asp?bn=10265. i use a Razer Diamondback and its the dogs dangly bits for cod 2. 1600 dpi so the reaction time is amazing and the sensor stays on all the time so theres no lag. also really comfortable to use.

They're very popular and good. Microsoft discontinued them a couple of years ago and replaced them with the utterly unpleasant intellimouse explorer 4.0. They're bringing them back now due to popular demand.

    /strokes explorer 3.0

/me strokes MS 1.1 Special Edition

    beat that ;)

anyone who has used a 3.0 for any decent amount of time will know why it's "this mouse or no other"

yeah, ive had the G5 about a year too, showing its age already, no tracking problems but at super low sens its crud, ur ring finger doesnt know where to go, the wheel is uncooperative, the side button makes a decision as to when to work and its beginning to create pain in my hand. it seems quite gimicky when u get down to the bones, 2000 dpi is nice though.

yeah the new IE3 model is what i needs i think and i shall be getting one shortly, thanks for the help

The left button on my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 has just given up.! makes playing cod2 pretty interesting.

I was going to get a G5 but now I'm thinking I might get a new Microsoft Habu Laser Gaming Mouse. Any opionions.

Sort of wary of them now, I've only had the current one for just over a year. Maybe I was just unlucky.

*pfft* am I missing something here? what's so good about the intellimouse? I've got the logitech MX610 lefty and I can honestly say i'd never go back to MS mice, the wireless intellimouse is a p.o.s imho. There is a utility for logitech mice called ubertools which allows for each mouse button to be configured to ANYTHING. Plus who uses optical mice anymore... i've tried varieties of both and I can conclusively say that laser mice work on a lot more surfaces than optical, even uneven surfaces like carpet or tiles.

Logitech ftw tbh, if you are having problems with your G5, you need to do a quick google for the 1D-10-t problems associated with it :D A user upgrade should fix the problem ;)
