I used **** to get mine installed. Not a clifford but I'm sure they would probably install an alarm that you provide them, either way, worth a call. They drop out to wherever you work. Mine was installed in under an hour and have no problems with it whatsoever (2yrs later).

Do you have the alarm already?Alot of places wont touch cliffords or will charge extortion for the fitting if they do,i did my own and 3 friends units too so could help you out if you fancy doing it yourself

I have installed one as well - a Clifford AvantGuard5 (minus the engine start parts, I didn't want those). Not that difficult, even with doing a really good job of hiding the bits and hiding the wires! I think it's just the quantity of wires that might put people off the installation.

In any case, the sensors are REALLY good: a quick bit of configuration, and mine never false-alarmed.

I installed a non-Clifford on another car and despite it being easier, the sensors are of lesser quality, and I'm always fidgeting at them to get the adjustment right.

Anyone know where to buy Cliffords online ? My US-source dried up.

I'd install it myself I guess as I am well able to wire things. Anywhere in Ireland sell them then or would I need to order from england?

Noone in ireland wil lsell them to the public as you have to be a "clifford authorised installer" to fit them,i got my 3 off an ebay store selling directed products but my account was hijacked and havnt been able to find the seller since.

Id advise going for an intelligaurd 750 or concept 650 (both are about 750 supplied and fitted here,i picked both up for 200 and 180 each online)

As franksm said, there's alot of wiring with them which may put you off but your main objective really is to disguise it so it looks no different from standard wiring incase a thief ever did try his hand at it.Id also reccomend a haynes book wiring diagram for your car especially if its got remote start so you dont end up tapping into any random wires

I'll checkout ebay then and see if there are any up. Do you get full wiring diagrams with them?

There should be an installation manual with them, youd need it for sure because some of the thatchem units come with plain black wires with removable colour tags on them so youd be lost without the book

Cool, I found a place on ebay selling them. Concept 650 is about €330 so I'll probably order that if I go ahead and buy the new car. Can't see it taking me more than a day to get the guts of it in and setup. Cheers for the advice.

Ah I got his number before off a friend, didn't realise he was a qualified fitter. I'll get in touch with him for prices. Very handy if he'd drop into my work and do it for me.
