I was just in Dame St in town about 30 mins ago and outta nowhere fire engines converge from all sides. Traffic was going down the wrong way, fire engines up on the footpath .. very limited (read .. 1 van, escorting a fire engine) police presense.

    Anyone know what's going on?

    A fire, maybe?

    :p

Haven't a clue, but I'm very interested now. I'm sure a poster can shed light on it -- someone always does!

Yo - was on my way back to my flat when that happened - there were two fire engines, and at least one ambulance arrived at the scene. still no idea wtf it was about, but one of the fire engines had the clamps out for raising the ladder.
