Using amex card online

    if there is a more suitable forum feel free to move...anyone know of an on line "shop" for electronics gear that accepts amex credit card?

    Aye amex is a bitch...it's due to the high fees they charge agents.
    99% of UK eTailers don't take it, most continentals ones won't either.
    Amazon does, but they won't deliver their poxy stuff here.
    Paypal takes it readily, so use eBay stores (just do your research on the seller first if it's high value gear you're after)
    US stores obviously take them but they seem to be adverse to ashipping outside of the US.

    With the way the credit card tax is here now, I'm strongly considering dumping my amex...a shame really, since I get 1% of purchases back every year which offsets the 40 quid tax....but I need a card that's accpeted widely here and have to have a Visa. Decisions decisions. F*ck Mc Creeevy.

    What sort of stuff are you after?

    problem i have is its a work one and has a positive balance for €150...and i'm leaving soon so want to spend it...thinking of a nintendo lite...if i could find a fecking place to take it

    Most hotels take it readily..treat yourself to a well deserved break, look for some of those 2BB1D deals.
