I'm leaving my current job in 3 weeks time to start a new position with another company. However it is costing me an arm and a leg to move!!

A holiday we booked falls right in between leaving the old job and starting the new job. As such I have 2 weeks which I wont be paid for (approx €1200)

I have to pay back my fees from year 1 in college and cannot claim for year 2 which I've just completed (€3800)

My current company pay VHI which will cease when I leave. New company do not pay VHI (€1500)

I suppose it's swings and roundabouts though. I'll have loads more holidays and 50% fees paid for college this year and next year (which will not have to be paid back if I leave). They are also giving me a week off for college. I'll also be earning and €3K more than I'm on now.

All in I rekon it's gonna cost me an initial €6.5K to move jobs
