    Hey,

I booked a Ryanair flight from Cork-Dublin for 2 weeks time.

They charge extra for check-in baggage, which I figured I wouldn't need as I'm only going for one night.

I just remembered the "no liquids\gels" security measure.

I'll have aftershave\deodrant etc etc etc.....will I have to check the bag in?

Those restrictions only apply to flights departing the UK. So...no.

Eh... I wasn't allowed bring any through Dublin and a few other airports a few weeks ago. Has it changed?

You wrent allowed bring what through Dublin? Were you flying from Dublin or to Dublin?

All the extreme security measures were in place at UK airports for flights departing FROM the UK. Thats why Ryanair are bringing a case against the UK government becuase they had so much trouble in Stansted.

In theory you shouldn't be affected but I wouldn't check the bag in either way. If needs be I'd sooner buy the necessary items at the other end. It would be beyond me if €15/20 didn't cover your toiletry requirements for one night!

I have travelled a number of times out of Dublin since the security alert with hand baggage containing deoderants/toothpaste etc. Not been stopped once.

There are no new restrictions on flights from Dublin to Cork or back again.
