    Hi Lads.

I am currently reading "Watch My Back" by Geoff Thompson which is his birography of over 10 years at violent bouncer work, and how he evloved mentally, emotionally and as a person through it.

I read it 5 years ago when it first came out. I was a kickboxer then.

This time reading it, having gone throught the whole RBSD thing, KM, Muay Thai, and gotten into several nastsy for real street fights (which I did not start, but I sure finished...and yes...all drink related).

I have to say reading the book now, and really taking in some of the things he said about how his karate evolved when he worked on the door, the mental attitude needed to win, the type of violent bastards out there.

It is a totally amazing book, and this time I am learning so much from it, not just about physical techniques, and mental pre fight process, but learning so much about myself too.

If you are interest in SD or MA, or just what life as a door man in the 80s was like in rough clubs in the UK this is a great book. back in those days the door men hit back, which due to legal issues etc etc thank God, seems to happen alot less these days...IMO anyway.

    Check it out.

    Highly Recommended!

    Gerry
