12 players, 2 tables of six, top 3 on each into a final.
Have loads of chips so starting stakes not a problem.
What blinds and for how long should I be playing?
I want the game to last 4 hours.

id imagine for 12 players 20 min blinds with 5K stack would last around that. normally a STT is an hour live with 3K starign stack and 10 min blinds. im obv guessing here though.

Hmmmmm..... two times table of six where the top 50% goes to the final table? It depends on the players, but, wouldn't that lead to a "not losing" strategy rather than a "winning" strategy for the qualifier? That could be bad for the game. Also, the second problem you'll find is that the levels may not be "level". Meaning: one table could finish much sooner than the other. Then what level do you start the final table with? Since there is no solution to this you'd have to start the final table "fresh". Unfortunately, this also adds to the "not losing" strategy" being used at the qualifier.

I know that a 12-man table is not a great solution either. Maybe play two tables of six until you have nine or less players left in total, then merge?

As for the chips and blinds... starting stack 200ish or 5,000ish (100 BBs):

1/2 or 25/50

2/4 or 50/100

4/8 or 100/200

6/12 or 150/300

10/20 or 250/500 (break & chiprace before or after this level)

15/30 or 400/800

25/50 or 600/1,200

40/80 or 1,000/2,000

60/120 or 1,500/3,000

100/200 or 2,500/5,000
If you make it 20-25 minutes per level it should last about four hours, including the break.
