    odds of 1/2, im thinking of putting a big amount of money on this.... do yas reckon its a good bet? or am i mad betting on ireland after the rubbish they have produced under staunton? England will beat Macedonia easily.

    I really can't see Ireland doing anything plus the added danger of Given being out.

    i see your point about shay, but considering the opposition should we not beat a poor cyprus outfit ? there not ranked 103rd in the world for nothing.... i can see us getting a scrappy win. defeat is unthinkable.a draw is still a nightmare situation.

    England will beat Macedonia easily.

    Never be so sure.

    As for Ireland, I'd still fancy a scrappy win despite our troubles. I'd say its a decent bet overall.

    To be honest I'd be more confident replacing Ireland with Slovakia(+1). Slovakia are a better team than Ireland, better price(1/2) and are up against a seriously depleted Welsh team(Collins Giggs Delaney Fletcher all out, Toshack has had to call up a defender from League 2's MK Dons). And with the (+1) on offer you also win if the match ends in a draw.

    I'm not saying Ireland won't win but I reckon this is a much safer bet.
    YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE! Good luck whatever you do buddy.

    Have backed Poland twice in last couple of months. Once in the World Cup for a sizeable single bet and they were well beaten by Ecuador and then last month, only team to let me down on an eight-fold accum. They have now joined Middlesboro as a team I will neither bet for or against.

    Interesting. Kazakstan aren't doing too bad either after holding belgium to a draw out there. Might opt for cork rather than poland here.

    Ireland and England both to draw 0-0. 9/1 and 22/1 respectively.

    Double= 230/1.

    This is where my five shamolians are going.

    Odds fromm PP.

    You were very lucky not to have out your "sizable sum" on that bet.

    Unless you did, then, oh god.

    Got the more unlikely part right. Why do I always ignore the 1 thing I have learned in years of football betting, strong singles are where it's at. The aggregate win would have been 11/1.
