had a friend who got a laptop from lidl. he was pretty happy with it. But if you're going to spend that much money it would be better to go for dell. looks like the monitor isnt included and doesnt say what software comes with it

There was a thread about this yesterday (that I replied to) but it seems to have dissappeared.
Anyway, here's the same reply. It's a reasonable spec but it's overpriced. If it come with a good 19" monitor then the price would be closer to the mark.

I'd second that, its expensive for box on its own especially as most people would make do with a 500 euro celeron from dell

well with dell now doing AMD processors you could get a a dell dimension E521 with a AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Processor 5000+, 2 gig ram and a 19" monitor for less then €1100 ( now that is only 1 year warranty and less software but still a decent buy)

    The thread is here
    look at this
This is the specs of that pc. It has DVB-T und DVB-S tv tuners,a dvd burner with lightscribe etc/read my post in that thread or go to the other link above for the specs

I wouldnt really call it a bargain unless you actually want things like a sat tv tuner and a fancy information display on the front. You would build a similar system without the fancy stuff for well cheaper

I dont think any of Lidls Pc deals in the past were bargains.
    They are over priced .
€1200 for a tower in this day and age is too much unless its a beast which this machine certainly is not.
