    Hi,
Is there such a thing as a NON widescreen 17" laptop?

When I search in google, only widescreen laptops are returned:(

Preferably one that has a DVD burner and can play CSS and that could be delivered within the next week. 2 of my friends want one so a business who could give good deals on buying 2 at the same time would be a big plus.

    Any feedback appreciated:)

So am I right in thinking there's actually no such thing as a 17" laptop that's not widescreen?

I'm sure there's plenty, try asking in the laptop forum if you haven't already done so. You're probly better off with widescreen, I've read that windows vista is geared towards it.

    I don't believe you can get a 17 inch laptop which isn't
widescreen, 4:3 with a 17 inch display would make
for a very funny shaped laptop.

However there is no reason they couldn't be built, so maybe you can find one around.

Why does it need to be non widescreen?

My old Sony Vaio (which I'll be selling shortly) is a 16.1" non widescreen (1280x1024). I don't remember there being bigger ones around at the time I bought it. My only has a fx5600 in it but some other machines had 9700pro's in them.
