What is the situation with internet access in Hampstead?


While on Larkfield I was able to jump onto the wireless but not here.

Where do I pay for whatever exuberant charge they have for it? Like a link to a website or something.

Yea I was able to play on Betfair, Boylepoker and Paddy Power Poker last year in Hampstead. I'm not sure if the ones like Party and Stars or Full Tilt worked, I think they didn't but cant say 100%, I did try most of them!!

I was able to play last year in College Park with Party and Paddy Power, but it looks as though things have changed. I'm back in College Park this year and I can't get any poker to work whatsoever. No Paddy Power, Doyle's Room, Party, TGF, Celeb Poker, Fult Tilt, WPEX, Titan Poker, Eurobet or Ultimate Bet. Same story on my friend's laptop in another College Park apartment. Looks as though there's a blanket filter on poker.

I complained to Computer Services about it last week and they're going to get back to me about opening the port that Doyle's Room uses, but I'm not too hopeful.

Yeh I sent CSD an email about opening the ports for Party Poker...dunno why it's blocked

I got connected purely to play poker, I asked one of the guys in csd if I would be able to and he answered in the affirmative and seemed a bit confused why I'd even ask.

Needless to say, I wasn't too pleased when I got home and it turned out i couldn't connect to one site...

No word yet. Maybe if you get on to CSD too there might be a better chance of something happening. Argh, I want to play poker!

Got no reply from CSD, if others enquire they'll see there's demand for it and open it..hopefully. Could play Party last year, any idea wht it's blocked this year?
