My dad has one of the Sky packages and recently it has started acting up.
He says that he loses all the Sky channels (Sky1, News, Living, Hallmark etc) every evening about 6pm but that they return the next morning!!!!

I presume his dish and decoder are ok as daytime viewing is ok.
Could he have accidentally set up some kind of "viewing block" during these times?

Anyone got any ideas on this?
    Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't presume anything without knowing more.

How does he lose them? Blank screen, freezing picture, on screen message?

    City / suburbs /farm?

Any other info. See what quality and signal bars are like in Serivices Setup signal test.

    Hi,

the screen reads something along the lines of "no signal being received"

He's been on to Sky about it, but got the generic response from them about removing card, unplugging decoder box etc.
After doing the above, the problem persists.

I'll ask him tonight about the signal bars, thanks for the help.

He is living in a rural area of west Clare btw.

Don't think so, but I'll run that by him tonight also.
    Thanks.
