Multi fuel stove - Runswick

    Has anybody installed one of these ? http://www.firesonline.com/acatalog/Town_and_Country_Runswick.html . Apparently it will fit into the existing fireplace , diy job, so no added cost of remodeling fireplace . Its for a senior citizen's living room , will it eliminate draft ? empty ash every day? Currently use some coal to keep fire going and then plenty wood ( free as we live in country side ) , will this €980- stove ever pay for itself :confused:
    Any comments advice welcome

    I installed one yesterday in my living room. Very simple.
    Eliminate draft ? Yes
    Empty ash everyday ? yes, maybe every 2 days.
    I think they use fuel a little more economically than an open fire but I'm not sure. Will 4kw output be enough for the room ?

    Thanks for the info , we installed the stove but had to remove the back of the old fireplace to fit it . Our darling senior citizen is warm and delighted , draft is gone , no need for coal (we have our own dry timber) , it uses much less timber than before. Pity the ash container can't hold a few days worth .
