Pumpkins!

Yep its nearly that time of year. I gave the camera to my wifey and she done some meshing around in PS with it. Some work with levels, hue, lighting effect and crosshatch.
Comments, suggestions or anything really let me know whats on ye're minds.

I was never really a fan of that crosshatch look and its hard to tell what the picture would be like without it. I think composition wise and in terms of the heavy autumnal colours it works well.

Seconding the not sure about the cross hatch, would love to see the original too, but also like the composition/colours and especially the subject! Pumpkins, yay! Halloween, yay! Tim Burton, yay! Bring it on! Sorry, I went OT there. Um, yes, anyway... thanks for getting us in the mood

I think it'd be nice with a duplicate layer and change the blending mode to overlay to ramp up the oranges and make the dark bits darker... just an idea.

I don't know why but I feel kike giving the near one a good kick. No I'm not a violent person....honestly. Very appropriate pic Ruu. Love the colours.

but would it roll, fly or just turn into mush. I'm curious now. (about the consistency of a pumpkin, have I nothing better to be curious about... .....apparently not.)

Better still its a Halloween Photo yay! Its better without the hatching, and its all about the spooky shadows.
